Campaigning for change

We want to change the conversation about student mental health. To do this, we’re encouraging young people to take ownership of mental health as an issue, to speak up, speak out and challenge the stigma.

To make sure we are providing the right support, at the right times, we have to ask the right questions to understand what students need.

To do this, we have to listen to them and involve them in how we develop and design our work and we plan to do that every step of the way.

Students lie at the heart of our work and direct the support or help we offer. We will help students to campaign effectively and raise awareness to improve their wellbeing – If it matters to you, it matters to us.

We’ll be working with SHARP ambassadors to develop campaigns within schools, colleges or universities but we encourage anyone to get involved to help us build campaigns that mean something to students – if you want to get involved, give us a shout using the contact form

We’ve already spent some time with students to get an idea of what they want from us – here’s one of a series of videos where they tell us what matters to them…
